This is in here to justify why I personally don`t have any opinion over the animated versions of The Hobbit ... or LoTR (that was made in 1978, with its continuation being made in 1980) for that matter, even if I had seen them when I was like between 15 and 17 and ... yeah, my constant reaction was either "What the ...?", "Ok ..." and trying not to bust out laughing despite the inevitable tear-jerking parts that they contained and were then reworked by PJ that were also the ones to have shaped my childhood~
And yes, I honestly mean no offense to anyone that remembers the animated versions as parts of their childhood like Ghostwalker2016 because every single one of us is different and unlike you who got to see these animated versions at the prime of their time (and some time later, but before seeing PJ versions of the same thing), I was pretty much a teenager by then and had seen some of the live-action versions of it, thus in a way, I had kind of false reactions on them.
I do admire how some of the characters were cast, like (and especially) the Ringwraiths in Bakshi`s version, but most of the time, I was like " ... well, that is awkward.", kind of like my friend ValiChan (which also makes me glad because I`d hate if I would be the only one with those reactions) and speaking of this, I cannot count enough times how many times did the comments on Bakshi`s LoTR parts on YouTube referred to "Gondor has no pants. Gondor needs no pants." gag that I didn`t knew until that day (aka swap any single word with "pants", with that word being "king" in the example text there). And I still laugh to this day whenever this surfaces up because well, Aragorn and Boromir in their 1978 versions don`t have any pants for real
Well, I should stop before I literary fry my brain and have a permanent laughter that would make me be gutted by nostalgic Tolkien fans that take offense at this journal, even though I honestly mean none of it since well, they are masterpieces for their time and I admire their creators for taking on this challenge. After all, things could be worse ... The Hobbit (1966).
Moved on from here to Discord and Steam
You all might´ve noticed by now that I´ve not been here for absolute YEARS (heck, my last Journal Update was in 2018 for cryin´ out loud, that´s before entire COVID-related madness that has unfolded for all of us as well as this new super-confusing Eclipse layout that dA is flustering itself with!) and, as a first thing to say, I´m really terribly sorry about it all. Real life has been more wild than seas are after a supervolcano eruption and due to all sorts of new stuff that had come even before 2020 hit us all in the mouth like a ton of bricks, the most significant ones being getting the then-brand new laptop, getting myself a Discord account profile as well as undergoing all good and bad things associated with being a newbie on another website and managing to get the sequel to SoM, called SoW (Shadow of War; mentioned it here because last deviations I´ve posted and talked about are of SoM), DeviantArt was put behind and slowly drifted away from my sight as years went by and I
As another year of my life passes
I admit, I don`t feel much better or worse than in the previous year when I wrote the entry as I was 23 years old for the 1st time, but this doesn`t mean that I`m better off than that year as well. Not only did doctors found out that I have an autoimmune disease that is slowly destroying my thyroid gland (and thus dooming me on taking supplements for thyroid hormones for the rest of my life), thanks to binge-playing Shadow of War and interacting with other players of this game that I became friends with as well as with the creators of it themselves via Twitch chat, I`m not in here as much as I used to be (as well as losing some very good frie
Welp, just going here to tell you this
I wish you all fine ladies and gentlemen, lurkers, pals, fandom-users, gamers and pretty much everyone on the Internet that is good and likes to make people`s day a sweet and healthy Happy New Year of 2018!
Terribly sorry that I still didn`t reply to many messages and checked many images (as well as made them) because real life is really busy here and I`m mostly active on other websites, thus this account is becoming more of a backup-one than anything else. No worries, like the tagline says, I`m still here and no matter how long might I miss, I promise you all to return from time to time to check what you guys posted up and wrote up for both
My home in a horror-dimension - a dream journal
I know, I know, I didn`t write a journal in MONTHS by now, but what could I even write about in the 1st place aside the reason for my absence and my lack of doing arts before this dream gave me an excuse? Most of you already know about my own efforts in making a living as well as searching wth to do with my life in next years, as I`ve told some of you already (like warrior1944 (https://www.deviantart.com/warrior1944)) and thus repeating all of this again would be kind of void. With this out of the way, let`s just jump over to the dream, which took place in my home apartment in its entirety (at its newest renovation with new wardrobes and having the main living room be all open

I remember someone talking about Ralph Bakshi's version. Some of the character choices still make me scratch my head (Sam) and the animation is hilarious at times (see stamp).
Though to give Rankin-Bass some credit, they still managed to get the main details of the book out and it seems unfair to compare it to Jackson who had a much bigger budget and 3 flippin films to spread everything out. Same with Bakshi.
If you really want a laugh, check out William L. Snyder's The Hobbit. It's 12 minutes but man is it a hoot to watch.
